Goldsmith Early Childhood Center provides stimulating, nurturing, creative experiences within a Jewish environment. Visitors to our school experience a sense of joy in learning in each classroom. Our school supports and encourages the growth and development of the whole child: socially, emotionally, academically, physically, and spiritually. We welcome our families to share and celebrate their child’s developmental journey within the Chizuk Amuno family.
The teaching staff is the foundation of a quality program. Our state-certified faculty is experienced, creative, and loving. Each teacher brings with her a unique background in Jewish education and a dedication to the well-being of every child and family.
Required to attend workshops, in-service training, and educational programs in early childhood and Jewish education, our teachers are constantly learning and integrating new approaches in their classrooms.
All teachers have at least a B.A. Some have an M.A. We also have learning specialists in Hebrew, music, library, drama, and art. Each classroom teacher has an assistant. All staff members are trained in pediatric first aid and CPR.
We serve approximately 150 students aged 2–5 years. Our families live throughout the Baltimore area. Many are members of Chizuk Amuno Congregation, so your kids will see one another when they come to services. All our students are members of the Jewish community.
Our parents are vital to our success and are encouraged to participate in family education activities. We believe that a high quality Jewish educational program can and must extend beyond the walls of the classroom. Our Parent Association (PA) insures a constant line of communication between parents and teachers.
